It was a different kind of video than I normally do so it was fun for me to think outside the box

My husband and I are expecting our first child in a few weeks (ahhh!). So I have officially moved into a home office in our new house. Besides the nursery, my office is at the top of the priority list. I made sure that my husband knows the importance of a practical (yet pretty!) workspace. When you spend a majority of your week in an office like I do, it’s important to create a space that enhances inspiration and productivity. 

The month of May was the best one yet for Falco Creative Media!

Recently I was reflecting on why high school was such a disaster and college worked so well — and what that tells me about succeeding at my new business. The answer is easy: self determination.

I had a very fun and busy March and April but am looking forward to an even busier May at Falco Creative Media. Thanks to all of you for your support over the past couple of months. Getting the business up and running has been quite the process, but I have enjoyed every minute of it!

When people hear information, they're likely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retain 65% of the information three days later. People following directions with text and illustrations do 323% better than people following directions without illustrations. Facebook posts with images see 2.3x more engagement than those without images. Incredible, right? Yes! I want to help you keep pace with these trends. 

Why do so many companies still fixate on text at the expense of video content? Their websites and social media feeds are littered with text. Well, it's time companies realize it: video is vital. It's also just a great way to connect and engage with customers and clients to create a sense of loyalty and trust.

The sound of fans walking through the gate for the first time this year, the look of the freshly cut grass, and the roar of the crowd; it all feels like home. Opening Day in Minneapolis gave me a little pep in my step and it felt like home. 

It’s been two months since I officially launched Falco Creative Media, LLC (yay!). I had imagined once I got everything lined up, my equipment bought and secured an office space, that I would hit the ground running. But that’s not what happened. After a little unexpected 6-week setback in my health (something I will share more about in 6 months), the new biz had to be put on hold. Again, not at all what I had pictured for 2017…

By far my biggest project and adventure is happening right now. Launching Falco Creative Media in January 2017 has been the most challenging yet rewarding thing I have done. I recently moved to Minnesota and wanted to start a new chapter in my life.

Over the past 15 months I have been working on a documentary with two of my former coworkers and good friends. The doc is about the 1986 Omaha Lancers, the worst hockey team ever. The title speaks for itself- this team went an entire season without a win.

I recently took over as the Social Media Manager for Dakota Eye Care Associates located in West St. Paul. This is a project of starting from the ground up and has an interesting set of challenges and opportunities.
